Meet The Team
David C. Steinberg is the Steinberg of Steinberg & Associates, Inc. With more than 30 years’ industry experience, David is a world renowned industry expert whose preservative knowledge is second to none. He founded the Masters Program in Cosmetic Sciences at Fairleigh Dickinson University and has taught many courses, including Chemistry of Skin Care, Chemistry of Hair Care Ingredients, Cosmetic Raw Material Regulations, and Preservatives for Cosmetics. For more than 15 years he wrote a bimonthly column for Cosmetic & Toiletries Magazine. In 2006 he founded the Cosmetic Preservative Council and served as Executive Director. He is a Regulatory Affairs Professional Fellow and has served as Chapter Chair, National Treasurer and National President of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists. He is on the Board of Directors for the Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers and Distributors (ICMAD) industry association. He has received many awards, including: Eminent Visiting Scholar Virginia State University, Paper of the Year Australian Society of Cosmetic Chemists, and Society of Cosmetic Chemists Merit Award. He is a featured speaker at many industry events and always provides a unique perspective many find invaluable.
Debbie Waite is a certified paralegal with more than 20 years industry experience as a Cosmetic Regulatory Affairs Professional. Her experience includes regulatory oversight for several multi-million dollar product line launches. She is adept at helping clients structure their marketing claims to make the strongest compliant claim possible, and ensuring product warnings are meaningful and concisely worded. With more than 15 years’ MSDS responsibility, the SDS she authors are truly meaningful and compliant without being overly cumbersome. Her attention to detail ensures that product formulations are thoroughly reviewed and packaging artwork is fully compliant and consistent.
Mo Lovelace is a Regulatory Affairs Professional with nearly 20 years extensive industry experience. Mo is expert at formulation and packaging compliance, domestic and foreign product registration documentation, and FDA/GMP compliance. Her experience includes regulatory oversight for a wide variety of product lines. Her two degrees, Bachelor of Technology (Manufacturing) and Bachelor of Science (Food), give her a solid knowledge base. Mo knows how to get the job done quickly and correctly, enabling her to service client needs efficiently and expertly.
Helen Steinberg is the glue that holds our organization together. While her title is Secretary and Treasurer, she does too many things to mention, all of which keep the home office functioning and help the company run smoothly.
Maria Christos is a dedicated Regulatory Affairs Consultant with exceptional attention to detail. She is a certified paralegal and a consummate professional. Her expertise in OTC Drug Fact labeling, California Safe Cosmetic Act Registrations, along with US, Canada, and EU cosmetic regulations assists clients in ensuring product formulas are compliant
Whitney Gonneville, the newest Steinberg Associate, joined the team September 1, 2015 as Regulatory Consultant. Whitney obtained her Bachelor degree in Nutritional Science. She is high energy, goal-oriented, organized and has a great eye for detail. Her formulation and raw material sourcing experience will be a great asset to the team as we take our regulatory review strategies to the next level.
